Privacy Policy

Extra Life Services ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through extralifeservices.com, why, and how we protect it. It applies to visitors in California and everywhere else.

Plain-language version: We only collect what you choose to send us. We don't sell your information. We don't run ads. If you're in crisis, calling 988 or 911 does not go through us at all.

1. What we collect

Contact forms. If you submit a form, we receive what you type — typically your name, email, phone, and message. This includes launch-notification signups on the Games and Store pages. Forms are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our email.
Help assistant (chat). Messages you type into the on-site assistant are sent to an AI service (Anthropic) to generate a reply. We do not ask you to share, and you should not share, Social Security numbers, financial account details, or medical record numbers in the chat. Chat messages are not stored by us in a user account and are not linked to your identity by us.
GED Quest and games. Progress is kept only in your browser during your session. We do not create accounts or collect scores. If you use the AI study tutor (NOVA), the questions you type are sent through our server to an AI service to write a reply.
Basic technical data. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may log standard information like IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and reliability. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

2. How we use it

To respond to your message or request for help.
To connect you with shelter, food, treatment, or other services you ask about.
To keep the site secure and working.

3. What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not use your information for advertising.
We do not share it with anyone except as needed to help you (for example, a warm hand-off to a shelter you asked about, with your knowledge) or as required by law.

4. Outreach and client information

If you work with us in person, we may keep basic case notes to follow up on referrals. This information is kept confidential, stored securely, and used only to help you reach the services you're seeking. You can ask us what we have on file and ask us to delete it at any time.

5. Third-party services

The site uses Netlify (hosting), Web3Forms (contact forms), Anthropic (AI assistant), Google Fonts, and YouTube (embedded study videos). Each has its own privacy policy. Links to outside organizations open their websites, which we do not control.

6. Your rights (including California / CCPA)

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. We will not treat you differently for making a request. Email support@extralifeservices.com. Because we collect very little, most requests are simple to fulfill.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Youth seeking help should contact us with a trusted adult or call 211.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS with modern security headers. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive details through the web forms or chat.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
